Until my experience with Hansen Bros., I associated moving with the highest possible level of anxiety. Your organization changed that for me...

Hansen Bros. Moving and Storage is the leading Edmonds Moving Company and it is our pleasure to share an overview of Edmonds, Washington.
One of Washington’s most picturesque waterfront communities, Edmonds offers visitors a seaside ambiance and residents an appealing, small-town quality of life. For the past nine years it has been voted “Western Washington’s Most Friendly Town” by a poll of over 700,000 viewers of KING-5 TV’s Evening Magazine program. This recognition is a significant achievement for an area that was simply a logging camp 100 years ago. Today, Edmonds is the oldest city in Snohomish County and it's second largest.
The community’s location on the west facing slopes of Puget Sound provides many amenities, including extensive views of the water and Olympic Mountains, a compact downtown area and access to beaches. Today’s waterfront includes a pedestrian-friendly shopping district which showcases three beautiful beach front parks, a popular 900-foot fishing pier, several spectacular waterfront restaurants, cafes, art galleries, and antique shops. A well-used senior center is complemented by a comprehensive health
care system and regional hospital.
Edmonds is served by an excellent school system and a growing community college. The school district serves several cities and unincorporated areas with a combined population of more than 150,000 residents and an enrollment of 21,442 students. They allocate approximately $3,753 per pupil for instructional expenses and with 1,173 full-time classroom teachers the district’s overall student/teacher ratio is 18.3/1. Regularly placing in the above average range in statewide standardized testing the award winning schools are on the cutting edge of regional educational leadership. Higher education options in the area include Edmonds Community College, Seattle Pacific University and the University of Washington.
The city is now primarily a residential community that also provides many amenities for residents and visitors alike. The city has 20 parks facilities in more than 325 acres and an active arts and cultural community that contributes to the strong sense of civic pride widely shared in the community. Edmonds has its own symphony and ballet companies as well as performance theatres, and a historical society. The Edmonds-Kingston ferries dock here, shuttling passengers and vehicles to and from neighboring communities on the Olympic Peninsula. Many local churches offer spiritual life opportunities and community volunteer options are available. Access to the museums, opera and exhibitions of the Seattle arts scene and to the Northwest’s great outdoors and its camping, fishing, boating, whale watching skiing and more add to the menagerie of activities available.
Seattle Magazine rated Edmonds the #2 best places to live in the NW Metroplex for many reasons.
