Residential Packing and Crating

Part of the stress of moving comes from concern over whether your valuable possessions will make it to their final destination without damage. Utilizing Hansen Bros. Moving and Storage’s professional packing services will reduce the risk of damage and greatly reduce your stress.

Full Pack

When Hansen Bros. performs a full pack, we are responsible for properly packing all your belongings to ensure a safe move. Our trained professional packers use only the best materials available which not only protect your items they increase efficiency as well. Dishes and glassware are wrapped in clean newsprint and densely packed into heavy double wall corrugated dishpacks. Packing densely reduces the movement of the items in the box, which is what causes most damage during a move.

Large mirrors and pictures are wrapped in paper pads and placed in 4-part mirror packs. The 4-part mirror packs telescope to accommodate a wide range of sizes and provide multiple layers of protection. Hansen Bros. utilizes a full range of cartons to pack your belongings, larger cartons for bulky light-weight items and smaller cartons for heavier items. For example, linens and pillows are packed in our 6.0 cu.ft. extra large carton, while books and magazines are packed in small 1.5 cu.ft. book cartons. There are even wardrobe cartons equipped with bars to hang your clothes right out of the closet. By using the proper size and type of carton helps ensure the items safety and assists the movers in recognizing if the contents are heavy or fragile to facilitate handling and loading.

Partial Pack

Customers sometimes choose a partial pack when they want to economize or have plenty of time to prepare before their move and are willing to some of the work. Then Hansen Bros. will come into pack the more difficult, fragile items, such as glassware, fine china, lamps and mirrors.

Specialized Packing & Unpacking

On moves in the Puget Sound area Hansen Bros. now offers a more specialized packing and unpacking service. Many times people are too busy or are physically unable to pack and unpack. Maybe they are helping an elderly parent, relative or friend move into a new retirement community. Are you interested in a truly ‘stress-free’ moving experience? We proudly offer HB Move Management, a white glove service that will do all of your packing and unpack and resettle your new home.

Crating

Local, interstate and international residential moving or storage sometimes requires oversize, very heavy or very valuable items to be crated or packed into wood boxes to make a safe journey. Slat pool tables, marble or slate table tops, large or priceless artwork, fragile antique furniture or chandlers are a few of the items that may need additional protection of a slat crate or a full wood box. Hansen Bros. has the ability and experience to create a wood container that protects your items to help ensure their safe movement. Our Relocation Consultant will be able to determine any crating needs during your free no-obligation survey. Do-It-Yourself Packing Supplies at Great Prices

Hansen Bros. carries a huge inventory of packing boxes, packing materials to meet all of your requirements. We purchase in such large quantities we receive great pricing which we are able to pass the savings onto our customers. If you are going to pack all or part of your belongings, you will be able to see, hear how to use and purchase all of the same high quality specialized cartons and materials our professional packers would use to prepare a shipment. Hansen Bros. handles many different specific moving sizes along with a large selection of specialty boxes, paper pads, bubble wrap, tapes, etc. for the do-it-yourself customer.
