All Hansen Bros. Employees are instructed and expected to follow the guidelines provided by the CDC. This includes:

  • Staying home from work if ill, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or having been exposed to someone with the virus
  • Washing hands frequently with soap or using proper hand sanitizer when soap is not available
  • Maintaining a 6’ social distance from others to the highest degree possible
  • Wearing appropriate face masks when/if requested or required

Hansen Bros. continues to take the following steps:

  • Regularly refreshing and reinforcing prevention guidelines among all staff members to reduce the risk of spreading infection
  • Daily monitoring of staff for symptoms of illness and sending anyone with symptoms home

  • Following all guidelines and protocols required by Retirement Living Communities, Apartment Complexes, Condominiums, Commercial Buildings, etc.
  • Upon request and at no charge, our crew members can wear masks while performing your move. Please simply notify your Relocation Consultant if this is your preference.

Hansen Bros. requests the following of our customers:

  • If you have a scheduled estimate appointment or booked move, please notify us immediately if you or any members of your household have been exposed to COVID-19, tested positive for COVID-19, or are experiencing symptoms including cough, fever, or difficulty breathing. Please rest assured there is NO CHARGE to reschedule your estimate or move due to illness – we will work together to find an alternate date that works for you.
  • Please use disinfectant/cleaner to wipe down commonly touched surfaces, objects, door handles, etc. at your residence.
  • Please make a sink, hand soap, and paper towels available to your outside salesperson and moving crew for handwashing during their time within your home.
  • Please keep all windows open throughout the moving process as this allows for greater airflow and reduces the containment of germs.
  • Please maintain a social distance of 6’ or greater during both your in-person estimate appointment and while moving services are being performed.

I have used this company for 5 moves. They are professional, reasonable and excellent customer service. All experiences were wonderful and truly a life saver when I moved my parents from their home of 30 years to their retirement community. Hansen Bros. was respectful, caring, and sensed my parents were nervous. Upon moving everything to the new community, they set up the entire apartment, including making the beds. My parents arrived happy, calm, and stress-free. They provided storage for furniture as well, and were very accommodating when we needed to view inventory, move one or two pieces to the apartment or clean out all the containers. For my personal moves, I found the team so wonderful to work with - helpful, caring and efficient. I have used Hansen Bros. a few times now and the service has always been great! From the office to the movers. This last move, the office I called was overbooked but since we couldn't adjust our move they worked with us to make sure we had movers come on the day that we needed. Really appreciate the level of service and speed Hansen offers. Solid moving company that we will definitely use again in the future when we have to move (again!).

Overall, a great experience. A few notes: although your moving rep and your moving prep packet stated pretty clearly that a label for the destination room in the new home should be on the side of the box, the crew did not universally look at the side of the box, but at my separate code / content label on the top, as they were carrying it. I was able to give them direction where they had questions about where to place the boxes, several ended up in the wrong room. (I had all of the rooms labeled in the new home, too). Also, there were one or two minor breakages of belongings, and a post on the stairway railing that was popped out in the struggle to get a large, heavy dresser up the stairs, but these do not constitute enough of a cost to even approach the deductible on the purchased insurance, so I won't bother with a claim. The physical strength and agility of the crew was quite impressive given the number, size and weight of all my possessions, so one could expect a thing or two to go "pop" or "snap" in the moving process. Another credit to the crew: when the few breakages did occur, they were right up front about pointing them out. Much appreciated. Great job overall!
